Nick DiPillo Signed As New Assistant Coach

New York, April 4, 2005 – New York Liberty Senior Vice President and General Manager Carol Blazejowski announced today the addition of Nick DiPillo, who will join the Liberty coaching staff for the 2005 WNBA season.

First-year assistant coach DiPillo brings both playing and coaching experience to the Liberty bench. After playing two years at Rutgers-Camden, DiPillo finished his collegiate career at Fairleigh Dickinson University. Since graduating in 2003, he has served as assistant coach for the men’s basketball team at Kean University in Union, NJ. The Cougars compiled a 34-19 record during his two-year stint and captured the ECAC Division III Metro Championship this past season.

“The arrival of Nick DiPillo complements our coaching staff very well,” said Blazejowski. “Having spent the prior two seasons scouting for the Liberty, he has great familiarity with our team, the league and will be a great fit with our current coaching staff.”

As per team policy, conditions of the contract are not released.
