THE SKINNY: Mitchell appeared in all 34 games, earning two starts. She led the team in assists six times (three less than 2008) and rebounds once (a first in her career).

ON THE RISE: Mitchell finished her second year as a professional as the WNBA's No. 1 leader in assists per turnover ratio (2.92). It is an improvement for the point guard, having wrapped her rookie campaign in 2008 as the league's second leader in that statistical category. Despite her minutes being limited from that of last season, Mitchell got it done when she was on the floor and ranked third in the WNBA in assists per 40 minutes, with 7.0 per game this summer.

BREAKOUT GAME: Although her highest scoring peformance (eight points) on the season came on Opening Day, Mitchell saw the most action on September 8th. She logged 30 minutes, grabbed a career-high six rebounds, dished out a season-high six assists as she led the Liberty in a balanced attack versus the Fever.
