AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Sept. 5 (AP) -- Plenette Pierson scored 20 points and Deanna Nolan had 17 of her 19 points in the first half to help the Detroit Shock beat the Indiana Fever 90-68 Friday night.

Kara Braxton scored 12 and rookie Alexis Hornbuckle added 10 as the Shock finished off a three-game season sweep of Indiana.

Tamika Catchings scored 20 and Ebony Hoffman added 12 for Indiana, which had their two-game winning streak snapped.

Pierson was returning from a four-game suspension for the July 22 brawl against Los Angeles.

The game was tied at 17 early in the second quarter, but Detroit scored the next 16 points to take control. Nolan had seven points in the run and Hornbuckle had six.

The Shock led by 20 during the period and were up 46-29 at halftime.

Pistons forward and Olympic gold medalist Tayshaun Prince attended the game.
