CHICAGO, July 28 (Ticker) -- Stacey Dales' long-range shooting ended the Chicago Sky's long losing streak.

Dales made six 3-pointers and scored a season-high 20 points as the Sky stopped their eight-game slide with a 79-65 victory over the sinking Minnesota Lynx.

Rookie Candice Dupree scored 19 points for Chicago (4-22), which won for the first time since July 7 at New York. This was the Sky's first win over a Western Conference club.

Chicago never trailed and raced to a 52-35 halftime lead as Dales scored 14 points, shooting 4-of-5 from the arc.

Minnesota (9-17) closed to 69-62 with just under three minutes to go on a basket by rookie Seimone Augustus, who scored 17 points. Dales responded with a 3-pointer.

Dupree scored five straight points to build the lead to 77-64, and the Sky cruised home.

Jia Perkins scored 15 points and Bernadette Ngoyisa added 12 for Chicago, which shot 44 percent (27-of-61).

Vanessa Hayden scored 16 points off the bench for Minnesota, which shot 42 percent (25-of-59) and has lost four of its last five games.
