INDIANAPOLIS, July 18 (Ticker) -- All-Star Tamika Catchings, Linda Frohlich and the Indiana Fever are proving nearly impossible to beat at home.

Catchings scored 17 points and Frohlich 15 off the bench to lift the Fever past the Phoenix Mercury, 71-65, for their ninth victory in 10 home games this season.

The Mercury took a 65-64 lead on a 3-pointer by All-Star guard Diana Taurasi with 3:26 remaining, but they did not score again.

Frohlich's 3-pointer with 2:46 left gave Indiana the lead for good, and they pulled away down the stretch as Phoenix fired blanks.

Taurasi scored just seven points on 3-of-14 shooting. She connected on just 1-of-8 attempts from the arc.

Penny Taylor scored 18 points and Kamila Vodichkova added 14 for the Mercury, who have lost eight of the past nine meetings with the Fever.

Next Games: The Mercury visit Washington to face the Mystics on Wednesday morning, and the Fever are hosting the Los Angeles Sparks on Saturday.
