MINNEAPOLIS, July 9 (Ticker) -- Rookie Seimone Augustus scored 13 of her 32 points in the final eight minutes as the Minnesota Lynx stormed back for an 85-80 victory over the San Antonio Silver Stars.

In the last game for both teams before the All-Star break, the Silver Stars blew a 17-point third-quarter lead and suffered their eighth straight loss at the Target Center.

A 3-pointer by Kendra Wecker gave San Antonio a 72-59 lead with 8:24 to play before Augustus took charge. She had two free throws and a pair of buckets to cut the deficit to 76-73 before a basket by Svetlana Abrosimova pulled Minnesota into a 77-77 tie with 1:51 to go.

Augustus sank a pair from the line at the 1:15 mark to give the Lynx the lead for good. She added two more with 52 seconds left and another pair 14 seconds later for an 83-77 bulge.

Wecker's 3-pointer halved the deficit, and the Silver Stars had a chance to tie after Lynx forward Kristen Mann threw away a pass. But Agnieszka Bibrzycka missed a 3-pointer, and Abrosimova and Augustus added free trows to seal it.

Chosen as an All-Star reserve Saturday, Augustus made 9-of-20 shots and 14-of-15 free throws. Nicole Ohlde added 14 points and Amber Jacobs 11 for the Lynx, who had lost six of their previous seven games.

Shannon Johnson had 20 points and 10 assists, Bibrzycka scored 19 points and Vickie Johnson 12 for the Silver Stars, who shot 47 percent (30-of-63) - including 10-of-24 from the arc.

Next Games: San Antonio plays at Charlotte on Friday, while Minnesota hosts Los Angeles on Sunday.
