INDIANAPOLIS, June 29 (Ticker) -- Behind Tamika Catchings, the Indiana Fever continued their home winning streak while ending the Detroit Shock's winning streak.

Catchings had 17 points, 13 rebounds, seven assists and a key block down the stretch as the Fever rallied for a 66-56 victory over the Shock, who had their six-game run snapped.

Tamika Whitmore scored 22 points for the Fever (12-5), who overcame a nine-point second quarter to improve to 7-0 at Conseco Fieldhouse. Indiana won despite shooting just 37 percent (22-of-60) from the floor.

A basket by Catchings gave the Fever the lead for good at 44-42 lead with 8:35 left. She added a short jumper to extend the advantage to 55-48 with 3:16 to play.

The margin was still seven points when Detroit's Deanna Nolan drove to the basket and had her shot swatted by Catchings, who saved the ball from going out of bounds and started a fast break that resulted in Tan White's 3-pointer that made it 60-50 with 1:10 remaining.

Anna DeForge scored 11 points and Ebony Hoffman grabbed 10 rebounds for Indiana, which held a 35-27 advantage on the glass.

Ruth Riley scored 14 points and Nolan added 12 for the Shock, who shot 41 percent (24-of-59). Cheryl Ford, who leads the WNBA with nine double-doubles, was held to eight points and nine rebounds.

After its poor second quarter, Indiana trailed, 32-25, at halftime. But the Fever limited the Shock to nine points in the third period to close to 41-40 entering the final period.
