CHARLOTTE, N.C., July 23 (Ticker) -- Ebony Hoffman and a strong dose of defense kept the Indiana Fever on a roll.

Hoffman scored 13 points and had five rebounds in just 19 minutes off the bench as the Fever posted a 63-46 win over the Charlotte Sting, who have lost six straight.

Indiana forced 14 turnovers and held Charlotte to 27 percent (15-of-55) shooting, the second-lowest mark in the Sting's history.

Hoffman, who was scoreless in 30 total minutes over her last two games, scored eight straight points to give the Fever a 25-18 lead en route to a 35-25 halftime advantage.

Jurgita Streimikyte had 11 consecutive points for Indiana in the second half, capped by a jumper with 14:11 left that made it 48-33. Charlotte never got closer than eight points thereafter and lost its third straight at home.

Streimikyte finished with 13 points and Tamika Catchings added eight points and nine rebounds for the Fever, who have won two straight at Charlotte Coliseum after losing their first eight here. Indiana has won five of six overall and improved to 9-1 against Eastern Conference opponents.

Tammy Sutton-Brown scored 13 points on 3-of-4 shooting for the Sting. Charlotte's remaining four starters combined to shoot 9-of-36 (25 percent).
