Entering the contest averaging 15.1 points, Catchings managed just two points on 1-of-9 shooting. However, her only basket at the 9:19 mark of the first half allowed her to become the fourth-fastest player in WNBA history to reach 2,000 career points.

In what was a tight game throughout, Kelly Miller's 3-pointer with 2:03 remaining gave the Fever the lead for good, 51-50. Tully Bevilaqua followed with a shot from the arc with 76 seconds to play for a four-point lead.

Miller and Kelly Schumacher scored 10 points apiece for the Fever, who have won their six homes games by an average of 4.6 points.

Katie Smith scored 17 points and Amanda Lassiter added 10 for Minnesota, which has lost three of its last four games.
