MINNEAPOLIS, June 5 (Ticker) -- An imperfect night for the Minnesota Lynx was perfect for Tamika Williams.

Williams made all seven shots for 22 points as the Lynx battled back from a 14-point deficit for a 76-68 victory over the Phoenix Mercury.

Minnesota trailed by as many as 14 points and faced a 43-31 deficit at halftime. Williams kept the Lynx in the game by making all four shots for 10 points.

Williams, who also grabbed 10 rebounds, scored five points in a 12-1 run that gave the Lynx the lead for good at 50-46 with 12:18 remaining. Katie Smith, who scored 14 of her 18 points in the second half, was also instrumental in the run.

Phoenix rookie Diana Taurasi's basket cut the deficit to 66-64 with 5:09 left. Williams answered with a pair of foul shots and the Lynx held Taurasi scoreless the rest of the way.

Taurasi managed only four of her 13 points after the break for Phoenix, which dropped its second straight. She made 1-of-8 shots in the second half.
