It took a while, but the Liberty finally contained Tamika Catchings, the WNBA Rookie of the Year who collected 29 points and 11 rebounds in Indiana's 73-55 Game 1 victory.

Catchings recorded another double-double Sunday with 20 points and 14 rebounds, but she was held to just five points in the second half when the Liberty stepped up their defense.

After Catchings made two free throws to open the scoring, New York reeled off 10 straight points and never trailed thereafter.

Tari Phillips added 20 points for the Liberty, who pulled away in the second half after taking a 38-31 lead at the intermission.
