New coach Bill Laimbeer is getting together a solid core of his former players and Cheryl Ford, who hasn't played in the WNBA since 2009, fits this mold. Ford is a four-time WNBA All-Star and played under Laimbeer for seven seasons, winning three championships. She was Rookie of the Year in 2003.
