The Indiana Fever (2-1) plays Game 4 of the WNBA Finals against the Phoenix Mercury (1-2) tonight (7:30 p.m., ESPN2, 1070 The Fan). A victory will give Indiana its first WNBA Championship.

Last Meeting (October 4, 2009):
The Indiana Fever held on to beat the Phoenix Mercury, 86-85, to take a 2-1 series lead. Tamika Catchings continued her stellar play with 14 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists. Ebony Hoffman also continued her hot streak, scoring a team-high 18 points on 6-for-7 shooting. Phoenix forward Cappie Pondexter added 23 points and eight assists.

Stats and Trends:

  • Tamika Catchings is averaging a near triple-double in the finals with 13.7 points per game, 9 rebounds per game and 7.7 assists per game.

  • Ebony Hoffman is doubling her regular season scoring average in the finals with 20.3 ppg compared to her 9.7 in the regular season.

  • Including the playoffs, the Fever is 18-3 at home this season.
