The Indiana Fever (21-10) starts a three-game regular season ending road swing against the New York Liberty (12-19) (7:30 p.m., 1070 The Fan, WNBA LiveAccess).

Indiana’s Last Outing (September 6, 2009):
The Indiana Fever snapped its three-game losing streak against the Washington Mystics with a 72-61 win. Tamika Catchings led the Fever with 20 points, eight rebounds, three assists and three steals. Tammy Sutton-Brown had a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds to go along with four blocks. Katie Douglas returned after missing two games with a left ankle sprain to score 12 points and grab eight rebounds.

New York’s Last Outing (July 28, 2009):
The New York Liberty fell in overtime to the Connecticut Sun, 88-85. Shameka Christon was the high scorer for New York with 22 points. New York was eliminated from playoff contention with the loss.

Last Meeting (June 27, 2009):
For the second time in two days, the Fever beat the New York Liberty. Tamika Catchings led Indiana with 13 points and 11 rebounds in the 63-54 win. The win gave the Fever its sixth straight win. New York guard Essence Carson had 14 points.

Stats and Trends:

  • Tamika Catchings is nine steals away from a WNBA-record 100 steals in a season.

  • The Fever’s average home attendance for the regular season was 7,939, the highest single-season mark since an 8,382 average in 2005.

  • With her 20 points against the Mystics, Catchings became the 13th player in WNBA history to score over 4,000 career points.
