The Indiana Fever hosts the Washington Mystics (15-16) in the last home game of the regular season (4:00 p.m., 1070 The Fan, WNBA LiveAccess).
Indiana’s Last Outing (September 4, 2009):
The Fever lost to the Detroit Shock in overtime, 70-63. The Fever missed Katie Douglas for the second straight game as they shot 27 percent from the field. Tamika Catchings had her second double-double in a row with 14 points and a season-high 13 rebounds. She also added three assists, steals and blocks. Indiana outrebounded Detroit 50-39.
Washington’s Last Outing (July 28, 2009):
The Mystics fell to the Chicago Sky 92-86 in a battle between two teams fighting to make the playoffs. Both teams are 15-16, tied for the last playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Matee Ajavon scored 32 points for the Mystics and Crystal Langhorne added 23.
Last Meeting (August 2, 2009):
Fever starters combined for 73 points as Indiana beat Washington 87-79 at Conseco Fieldhouse. Katie Douglas led all scorers with 24 points. Tamika Catchings added 19 points, nine rebounds and five assists. The Fever shot 49 percent from the field.
Stats and Trends:The Fever is the second-best free throw shooting team in the WNBA, shooting 82 percent from the line.
Tamika Catchings has had two straight double-doubles and five on the year.
The Fever leads the WNBA with 10.79 steals per game.
