Game Preview: Fever vs. Silver Stars

The Indiana Fever (19-7) plays its first game of a three-game homestand against the San Antonio Silver Stars (11-16) (7:00 p.m., 1070 The Fan, FSI).

Indiana’s Last Outing (August 22, 2009):

The Fever lost their second game in a row, 74-60, to the Seattle Storm. Seattle had six players score in double figures, led by Sue Bird with 16 points. The Fever had four players score in double digits with Katie Douglas’ 12 points leading the team. The Fever was never closer than five points in the fourth quarter.

San Antonio’s Last Outing (August 18, 2009):
The Detroit Shock handed the Silver Stars their third loss in a row with a 99-84 victory. Katie Smith scored a season-high 31 points to lead the Shock. Sophia Young had 19 points for the Silver Stars.

Last Meeting (July 23, 2009):
The Silver Stars handily beat the Indiana Fever 84-65 at the AT&T Center. The Silver Stars were led by Sophia Young’s 24 points and five rebounds. No Fever starter scored in double figures, while Jessica Davenport came off the bench to lead the team with 13 points and six rebounds.
