The Indiana Fever (18-5) returns from its three-game road trip with a matchup against the 2008 WNBA Champions, the Detroit Shock (9-12) (7:00 p.m., 1070 The Fan, WNBA LiveAccess).

Indiana’s Last Outing (August 13, 2009):
The Indiana Fever finished its three-game road trip with an 91-81 victory against the Minnesota Lynx. Ebony Hoffman led all scorers with 24 points and 10 rebounds. Lynx center Nicky Anosike had 14 points and 16 rebounds in 31 minutes. Tamika Catchings filled the stat sheet with 15 points, seven rebounds and six steals. The Fever shot 44 percent from 3-point range making 8-for-18.

Detroit’s Last Outing (August 13, 2009):
The Detroit Shock lost 80-75 to the Atlanta Dream who had five players score in double-figures. All-Star Erika DeSouza had her league-leading 7th double-double of the season with 15 points and 13 rebounds for the Dream. The Shock were led by Deanna Nolan with 20 points, shooting 7-for-25 from the field.

Last Meeting (June 7, 2009):
Katie Douglas’ game-high 26 points helped Indiana overcome a 17-point deficit, carrying the Fever to an 82-70 victory against the Detroit Shock. The win was the Fever’s fourth-straight victory after losing their first two games. Tamika Catchings added 15 points and six assists. Detroit was led by Deanna Nolan with 16 points, eight rebounds and six assists.

Stats and Trends:

  • With four steals tonight, Tamika Catchings will become the third player in WNBA history to record 600 steals. She will also become the quickest and youngest to do so.

  • Katie Douglas needs only three 3-point field goals to move into 5th place on WNBA’s career list.

  • The Fever leads the WNBA with 10.83 steals per game.
