March 6, 2012
Missing more than a month due to ankle surgery, Fever guard Erin Phillips has returned to action in Poland where she continues leading Polish-leader Wisla-Can Pack.
Phillips and Wisla captured the Polish Cup last weekend, with Phillips providing a clinching 3-pointer reminiscent of her game-winning bucket in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals at Bankers Life Fieldhouse last September. Phillips' 3-pointer with a minute left in regulation snapped a 76-76 tie, helping Wisla to an 81-76 win over Lotos Gydnia.
Phillips averages 10.9 points, 2.7 assists and 2.1 steals per game in the PLKK domestic league in Poland. She averages 14.8 points, 3.1 assists and 1.5 steals in EuroLeague action where Wisla has advanced to the European quarterfinals.
