Approximately 200 MVP Members came out to the Launch Party, held in the practice court at the Fieldhouse prior to the Pacers-Wizards game. Those in attendance were treated to food, drinks, and fellowship with other Fever MVP Members as well as a short program. Fever general manager Kelly Krauskopf spoke with the audience, recapping the last year for the Fever and discussing the front office's preparation for the 2014 season.
"We are sort of a test pilot and [an organization] that the WNBA is looking at because of the aspect of how loyal and how great you guys are and how many years we've had your involvement," Krasukopf said. "This program that we're going to roll out to you tonight I think is something that you're going to see across the country and that a lot of sports teams are going to start looking at doing something similar to what we're doing."
Vice President for Business Operations Julie Graue introduced the sales team and showed a new promotional video for the upcoming season. Fever Fan Experience Specialist Jeff Hughes then gave a short presentation explaining the new benefits and initiatives in the MVP Membership Program. One of the main goals of the program is to have several exclusive events for MVP Members throughout the calendar year.
"We want to make this more than just coming to 18 Fever games, and that's it," Graue said. "We want to incorporate other great activities...other events throughout the year."
