The Indiana Fever has teamed with the Julian Center and Republic Waste Services of Indiana for a week-long Julian Center Donation Drive. The Fever donation week at Julian Center tips off Sunday, July 25 with a “Day of Wellness” presented by Fever star Tammy Sutton-Brown.

The “Day of Wellness” is a second-annual event created by Sutton-Brown, a 10-year WNBA veteran who initiated a day of pampering two years ago in her hometown Toronto. Caring for the women who reside at the Julian Center, Sutton-Brown provides hair cuts, massages, manicures and pedicures courtesy of Natural Concepts. A fruit platter is provided compliments of Kroger.

Collection bins for the donation drive will be located the Clarian Health Entry Pavilion during normal business hours from Monday, July 26 through halftime of the Fever game on Friday, July 30.

Fans are invited to bring donations to Fever games on July 27 and July 30. Donations will be accepted through the end of halftime. Fans donating items at the game will receive an autographed photo of Tammy Sutton-Brown and Coach Lin Dunn.

Dunn, Sutton-Brown and Fever staff and players are challenging fans to match a donation of 10 garbage bags filled with donated items. Fans who match the 10-bag donation at the Fever’s July 30 home game against the Washington Mystics will be invited to a meet-and-greet opportunity with Sutton-Brown after the game.

The Julian Center is in critical need of numerous donations from toiletries, bedding, food pantry items, clothing and other miscellaneous items. A complete wish list of items can be found by visiting www.juliancenter.org/wish_list.html.
