Kahli Wilson: Hall of Fame Bound
Married to former Toledo basketball player Albert Wilson, Kahli Carter-Wilson played for the Rockets from 1997 through 2001. She earned first-team All-Mid-America Conference and NCAA All-District VI honors as a senior starter in 2001 and ranks 11th all-time in scoring with 1,258 points.
She is best known, though, for perhaps the greatest individual performance in school history when she scored 33 of her 36 points after halftime to lead Toledo to a 74-65 ovetime victory over Kent State in the 2001 MAC Championship Game, earning tournament MVP honors. Toledo trailed that game at halftime, 38-15. Carter-Wilson played on two MAC Championship teams (1999 and 2001), two NCAA Tournament teams (1999 and 2001) and one WNIT team (1998). She made honorable mention All-MAC as a junior and made the All-Freshman team in 1997-98. She averaged 17.5 points and 8.8 rebounds as senior, and 10.0 points and 5.2 rebounds as a junior.
