Fever and Community Health Network Partner for Health Fair
The Indiana Fever and Community Health Network are teaming up to present a health fair that encourages Hoosiers, especially young women, to exercise regularly and eat healthy in order to enjoy a long and productive life. The health fair will take place before and during the first half of the Indiana Fever vs. New York Liberty game, Friday, June 10, on the Main Concourse of Conseco Fieldhouse. The event, open to fans attending the game, will begin at 5:30 p.m., and will conclude at the end of halftime. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
“We are close to the mid-year point and now is a great time to examine our health and the health of our families,” said Bill Corley, president and CEO of Community Health Network. “Community began My Community Gets Healthy last year as a way to get citizens moving more and eating right to improve their health. The WNBA and the Indiana Fever share our commitment so we’re excited about the impact this partnership can have on fans across Indiana.”
“We are very interested in challenging young women to live healthy lifestyles,” said Fever General Manager Kelly Krauskopf. “The women on our team are wonderful role models because their jobs require them to stay in shape. And, because they’re athletes, they know the importance of eating right and building strong bones and muscle. We are proud to provide this health fair to the Indianapolis community.”
