Catch On To Fitness Clinic, Nov. 24
INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Fever’s Tamika Catchings will conduct the “Catch on to Fitness” clinic for youth, ages 7-14, Saturday, Nov. 24, at Riverside Family Center. Catchings’ annual “Catch on to Fitness” clinic takes place from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., with free admission for campers that donate a minimum of 10 canned food items to benefit Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana. Regular clinic admission is $20. Registration is from 12:15 to 1:00 p.m., with walk-up registration still available. Space is limited to the first 100 participants.
An Olympic gold medalist and five-time WNBA All-Star, Catchings was a leading candidate for the WNBA’s Most Valuable Player Award last summer, before having to miss the final portion of the regular season due to injuries. She operates her annual clinics as part of her Catch The Stars Foundation, Inc., to provide positive academic and sports-related programs for local youth.
Catchings’ fitness clinics are designed to demonstrate ways to become active and lead healthy lifestyles. The clinic participant or volunteer that donates the most canned goods will be recognized at halftime of the Indiana Pacers vs. Cleveland Cavaliers game on Sunday, Nov. 25 (2:30 p.m.).
