WASHINGTON(AP) Tamika Catchings and Tan White had 14 points apiece to lead the Indiana Fever to a 69-62 victory Sunday that ended the Washington Mystics' three-game winning streak.
The Mystics double-teammed Catchings for much of the game and limited her to 5-for-13 shooting. But Washington had no answer for White, a reserve guard who scored 12 points on 5-for-10 shooting in 15 minutes of the first half. She finished with a career-high eight rebounds and two assists.
Tamika Whitmore added 12 points, four rebounds and three steals for Indiana.
Alana Beard led Washington with 16 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals.
Beard's back-to-back 3-pointers and driving layup pulled the Mystics to 63-58 with 1:30 remaining. After Catchings responded with two free throws, Nikki Blue was fouled while making a layup for Washington.
DeLisha Milton-Jones rebounded Blue's missed free throw and was fouled. Milton-Jones made both free throws that pulled the Mystics to 65-62 with 38.7 seconds left.
Whitmore's layup made it 67-62. White added two free throws with 13.1 seconds left.
Center Nakia Sanford had 15 points and 10 rebounds for Washington. Milton-Jones added 10 points and 14 rebounds. The duo also combined for 13 turnovers.

The Fever took control with a 13-0 run late in the first quarter, when Sheri Sam's 3-pointer gave Indiana a 20-13 lead with 54 seconds remaining.
Fever has held opponents below 40 percent shooting for a WNBA-record 10th consecutive game.
Tan White and Tamika Catchings each scored 14 points to pace the Fever. White came off the bench to add a career-high and team-high eight rebounds.
Defending a three-point lead with 18.9 seconds remaining, Tamika Whitmore’s layup on an out-of-bounds play iced the lead and posted the Fever to a 67-62 advantage.
Shooting guard Anna DeForge scored just six points in the game and was hampered by foul trouble throughout. Though she came off the bench to thwart a pair of Mystics rallies. Twice when Washington cut its difference to single digits, DeForge hit late threes to maintain the double-figure lead.
