Hoffman Leads Reading TimeOut
The Indiana Pacers and Indiana Fever combined efforts on Thursday for a Reading TimeOut at Westlake Elementary School, as part of the NBA and WNBA's Read to Achieve programs to promote literacy. Fever player Ebony Hoffman was one of the guest readers, joined by Dave Calabro from WTHR-13 and Terry Hudson from the Indiana Children’s Wish Fund.
Almost a hundred kids were involved in the event. The kids got a special surprise when Pacers mascot Bowser joined in on the fun. The guests read to the kids and asked them questions about each book. Each child received received a goody bag with Pacers and Fever gifts, and a raffle was conducted to offer more prizes.
