What is your favorite exercise for the lower body?
The leg press. Itís a tough exercise, but it's good to work with a lot of weight because it helps to strengthen your lower body, your hamstrings, and quads.

What is your favorite exercise for the upper body?
I like to work on my triceps. Everyone always wants to have nice definition and the different cuts in their arms.

How about cardio?
I like to ride the bike. I hate running, so the bike is a different variation.

How do you work out on your off days during the season?
I donít because we have such a hectic schedule. We usually play three days a week and off days are usually our time to rest.

Is there a specific fitness goal that you've set for yourself that you are currently working towards?
I'm working towards being in better game shape. We like to play an up-tempo game and, right now, my goal is to be able to play 10 minutes straight. If you can play 10 minutes in our up-tempo system, then you are in great shape.

Is there a fitness accomplishment that you are most proud of?
I think I picked up my speed a lot more than when I was in college. I feel that I am quicker because now I am getting ahead of post players on the fastbreak a lot more then I used to.

Is there one exercise that you hate doing and have to force yourself to complete?
I hate the bench press. That is my least favorite thing. I donít know why, but I really hate it.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to get into better shape for playing basketball?
Not just long distance running, but interval running. You sprint for 30 seconds, then do a nice up-tempo pace for 30 seconds, and do it all over again.

How important is fitness and exercise in your life?
It's my job. If I'm not in good shape and eating right then it is going to show on the court. In order to play at this level you have to do all the right things. You have to eat and take care of your body because it's your job.

What type of music do you listen to when you are working out?
Just about anything that is hip-hop and has a good beat, or anything I can sing to take my mind off the pain.

Are there any particular fitness products on TV that make you laugh the most?
Probably all of those new ab machines they have. The best thing to do for abs is to get on the floor and do crunches.

What do you like to eat before games?
I like pancakes because it stays with you. You'll eat, and by the time the game rolls around, you're hungry again. I think pancakes really stay with me the longest.

Are there any foods that you have a weakness for?
I love stuff like cakes and brownies. I donít have any in my house because I know I'm going to eat it. So I try and not buy any of that stuff.

Any healthy snacks?
I like bananas a lot.

When did you start working out?
Probably my junior year in high school. That was when I really started concentrating more on becoming a better athlete and a better player.

When do you think you were you in the best shape of your life?
I donít think I'm there right now. If you are in the best shape of your life right now, you are probably going to burn out. I think you should gradually get better as the season goes along so that you don't burn out.

How has your fitness routine changed over the years?
It has become more intense. I've concentrated more on nutrition and eating the right foods and not just exercising.
