ATLANTA, July 3, 2011 — The Atlanta Dream reinstated forward Sancho Lyttle and waived guard Kelly Mazzante, the team announced today.

Lyttle, a 6-4 forward, missed the Dream’s last six games while competing for Spain in EuroBasket Women 2011, a qualifying tournament for the 2012 Olympics. She was temporarily suspended for the duration of her absence.

Lyttle was limited during the tournament due to an injury. She is expected to return to action for the Dream once she has been evaluated and cleared to play by team physicians. Lyttle is averaging 12.5 points, 7.8 rebounds, 3.0 steals and 2.5 assists in four games for the Dream this season.

Mazzante, a 6-0 guard, was signed by the Dream on June 6, 201. She appeared in six games for the Dream, averaging 5.7 minutes per game.

The Atlanta Dream is the defending Women’s National Basketball Association’s (WNBA) Eastern Conference Champion. The Dream enters its fourth season this summer as part of the WNBA, the world’s longest-running women’s professional sports league.
