-- Latta Returns to Dream; Will Be Active for Tonight’s Game--

ATLANTA, July 3, 2009— The Atlanta Dream announced today the team has signed guard Ivory Latta and waived guard Nikki Teasley. Latta will be active for tonight’s game against the Washington Mystics. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 pm ET at Philips Arena.

Latta, Atlanta’s starting point guard last season, was waived by the Dream on June 3, 2009 prior to the start of the regular season. She started 31 of 34 games in 2008, averaging 11.4 points, 2.1 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game. Originally selected by the Detroit Shock with the eleventh overall pick in the 2007 draft, Latta was acquired by the Dream during the 2008 WNBA expansion draft and had the best year of her career, setting career highs in all major statistical categories. The third-year pro from the University of North Carolina led the Dream in assists and finished second in scoring in 2008.

Teasley, a 6-0 point guard, started all 10 games this season for the Dream, averaging 3.9 points, 1.7 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 23.4 minutes per game. After missing the 2008 season following the birth of her daughter, Teasley re-signed with the Dream on January 12, 2009. Teasley is a six-year veteran and two-time All-Star.
