Dream Add Kim Shreckengost to Advisory Board

ATLANTA, June 12, 2012 —The Atlanta Dream announced Tuesday the addition of Kim Shreckengost to the team’s advisory board. Shreckengost is Executive Vice President – Chief of Staff for AMB Group, LLC, the parent company of the Atlanta Falcons. In addition, Brad Gust has been added to the Dream staff as the team’s new Public Relations Manager.

“The Atlanta Dream consistently puts together a team of highly-athletic and professional women on and off the court,” Shreckengost said. “The game day experience is high-energy and entertaining, and the team plays at the highest levels of the WNBA. Shreckengost is responsible for communications, public relations and information technology at the Falcons, and holds similar responsibilities at The Arthur M. Blank Family Office. In addition, she is responsible for facilitation of the business activities of Falcons Owner & CEO Arthur Blank, family office operations and administration; the businesses’ aviation group; and the operations of Mountain Sky Guest Ranch in Montana. She is also part of the leadership team at Atlanta Falcons Physical Therapy Centers.

Prior to joining AMB Group in 2001, Shreckengost served as Vice President – Corporate Affairs & Executive to the CEO at The Home Depot. She previously spent 15 years with Delta Air Lines in multiple roles, most recently as the company’s Director of Investor Relations and Assistant Secretary.

Shreckengost is a former working group member of the NFL’s Committee on Workplace Diversity. She serves on the board of advisors of the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce and, while at Delta, was recognized by Institutional Investor Magazine as one of the top investor relations officers in the country.

Shreckengost joins Lisa Borders, president of the Grady Health Foundation, on the advisory board.

Gust brings 14 years of public relations experience to the Dream, having previously worked in the athletics media relations offices at three different Division I universities. His prior experience includes stints at Auburn (2005-11), Michigan State (2001-05) and Drake (1997-2001).

During his six years at Auburn, Gust served as a media contact for four different sports that won national championships. His primary duties were with the Tiger football team, where he helped promote Heisman Trophy winner Cam Newton during Auburn’s 2010 BCS National Championship season.

While at Michigan State, Gust was the media contact for several sports, including the women’s basketball team that reached the 2005 National Championship game. Women’s basketball was also one of his responsibilities at Drake, and he has been the media contact for five women’s basketball teams that advanced to the NCAA Tournament during his career.

The Atlanta Dream are in their fifth season this summer at Philips Arena as part of the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA), the world’s longest-running women’s professional sports league. The Dream are the defending two-time, back-to-back Eastern Conference Champion. The next home game is scheduled for June 15 at 7:30 p.m. against the Los Angeles Sparks.
