Atlanta, August 13, 2008--Atlanta’s brightest young talent will compete against teams in other WNBA cities for a basketball court for the city in the “Discover Card® Home Court Challenge.” The event will take place on Saturday, August 16 from 2:30-4:30 pm at the Philips Arena practice facility.

The WNBA and Discover Card partnered to launch this new program in an effort to bring kids together in a positive setting to promote healthy competition, sportsmanship and team spirit. The challenge is open to pre-registered youth in the 9-11 and 12-14 age groups. Participants will compete in various timed drills focusing on basketball fundamentals.
