Dream Takes Part in Inman Park Festival

ATLANTA, Apr. 28, 2008 -- Members of the Atlanta Dream took a break from the first week of training camp to mingle with fans at the annual Inman Park Festival on Saturday, April 26. Most of the current Dream roster, Dream coaches and Dream staff walked alongside City Council President Lisa Borders during the parade route through the historic Atlanta neighborhood. Upon their arrival, the Dream received a warm welcome from Mayor Shirley Franklin and Congressman John Lewis.

The Inman Park Festival is held annually during the last full weekend in April. The festival includes a colorful parade, live musical acts, a tour of neighborhood homes, children’s activities and an eclectic street market. The Dream were represented at the festival by Dalila Eshe, Katie Feenstra, Kristin Haynie, Ivory Latta, Camille Little, Ann Strother and Carla Thomas. Also in attendance were Executive Vice President Danielle Donehew, General Manager/Head Coach Marynell Meadors, Assistant Coach Fred Williams and Community Relations Manager Tameka Garrett.
