Last evening we held our first Houston Comets Ambassadors Club meeting. I was overjoyed at the enthusiasm and passion that was displayed throughout our first meeting!
The Comets Ambassadors program is a volunteer organization comprised of Houston Comets Season Ticket Holders. Our Ambassadors are an extension of the Houston Comets front office under the guidance of the ticket sales and service department. Out of their love for the game and the organization the Comets Ambassadors participate in this program. They are dedicated to promoting the Comets and women’s basketball in the City of Houston. If you would like to know more about the Houston Comets Ambassadors Club or how to join please contact us at 713-627-WNBA.

Rocky hard at work writing his blog!
I have been on board with the WNBA Houston Comets sales team for just almost two weeks now, and I have to admit it has been two of the most fun weeks of my life thus far! There aren’t many words I can say to express the great sense of pride I have to be a part of this organization and the fan base for the Houston Comets. Again, I have to give kudos to our fans…they ROCK!
I also have to give a special “shout out” to my fellow coworkers. There has been so much behind-the-scenes work taking place in order to make sure the games are the best throughout the WNBA. It is such an honor to be a part of this season! I will add that we are looking for some interns, so if any readers out there are in need of credit hours for an internship with an amazing organization, feel free to email your resume and information to firstname.lastname@example.org and tell them you want to join the Houston Comets team!
I hope you all have your tickets for next Tuesday night, as well as for the rest of the season! And remember that if at any time you need assistance or information, feel free to give us a ring at (713) 627-WNBA.
See you next Tuesday at the home opener at Reliant Arena!

Helllloooo Comets Fans!!! We are exactly 7 SHORT days away from our 2008 Home Opener! This is the beginning of my 8th week with the Comets as an Account Executive and it is as exciting as can be. I moved here from California 8 and a half weeks ago to work for a team I have been a fan of since I was 12 years old! The dream is coming true for me working with people I idolized as a young girl.
We had a great event for our season ticket holders yesterday down at Reliant Arena and it was such a pleasure for me to meet the season ticket holders for the first time and kickoff the season. Team NRG and Haley performed then everyone greeted the players as they came in from Detroit. The players did a Q and A session on the court before heading out to the concourse to sign autographs for fans.
The buzz at the arena and around the office has been incredible as anticipation builds for the home opener. There are a lot of firsts this year for the Comets, but at the end of the season there will hopefully be an important fifth…Championship!!! I can’t wait to meet everyone on May 27, see you there!

C-O-M-E-T-S! Houston Comets fans, this is Shenita Benjamin. I am an Account Executive for the best team in the WNBA! I have to say this is the most anticipated season in the history of the WNBA HOUSTON COMETS! It is an extreme pleasure to be a part of one of the most historical teams in the entire league. I joined the Houston Comets family in May 2007 and I have developed some wonderful relationships with our fans! The Houston Comets fans are the most interesting and passionate individuals, and it has been an honor servicing each and every one of you. I look forward to yet another powerful season! I will see you at the games! GO COMETS!

Hello Comets Fans! Djacarda Richard here. I handle Public & Community Relations for the four-time WNBA Champion Houston Comets, a fact that is a source of great pride for me. I was previously on the Comets staff during the team's 2000 championship run. It was my first real job and I will never forget that I was able to witness a piece of history. It has been a pleasure and a privilege to return to Houston and the team that I love. I will be on the plane with the team as they head to Connecticut for the May 9 preseason match against the Sun. Coach Thompson has put together a wonderful squad and although some of our key players are not yet in Houston (Go Tina, Go Spartak Moscow!) I can't wait to see everyone in action on May 17 in Detroit. If you see me at the May 27 home opener (or every other Comets game, for that matter), please feel free to say hello. If you've been a fan of the team as long as I have, we can swap stories. See you at Reliant Arena!
