– Network’s All-Access Approach Features Coverage of Skills Challenge and All-Star Practices –

NEW YORK, July 6, 2006 – NBA TV will provide full-court coverage of WNBA All-Star 2006 when it brings its all-access approach to the event from Monday, July 11 through the WNBA All-Star Game, Wednesday, July 12. The network will bring all of the major events to fans, including the annual Skills Challenge and the East and West All-Star Practices, as it leads up to ESPN’s telecast of the game from Madison Square Garden on Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET.

NBA TV analyst and Basketball Hall of Famer Nancy Lieberman, along with host Matt Loughlin, will lead the network’s coverage. Lieberman, a former member of the Phoenix Mercury and a former head coach and general manager of the Detroit Shock, and Loughlin will be providing analysis of the teams as well as interviews with the All-Star players and coaches throughout the course of the event.

During WNBA All-Star 2006, NBA TV will capture the excitement by delivering:

· A special live report from the dedication of the WNBA Cares Learn and Play Center (Mon., 2 p.m. ET)

· Coverage of WNBA Dribble, Dish & Swish Skills Challenge and Three-Point Shoot Out (Tues., 1:30 p.m. ET)

· A live telecast of the West and East All-Star practices (Tues., 2:30 p.m. ET)

· Complete analysis of the teams, including interviews with players and coaches, during a special NBA TV WNBA All-Star Game pregame show (Wed., 6 p.m. ET)

· Highlights of the WNBA’s All-Star Salute: Celebrating Inspiration luncheon, featuring keynote speaker and former United States Secretary of State Dr. Madeleine Albright

· Live telecast of WNBA President Donna Orender’s press conference (Wed., 6:30 p.m. ET)

During the 2006 WNBA season, NBA TV will televise nationally 56 regular season games, as well as playoff games. The network also presents extensive, all-access coverage of the WNBA through NBA TV Insiders, its basketball news and information show, and NBA TV Daily, its basketball wrap-up show featuring highlights after each game day as well as post game interviews with key players and coaches. In addition, WNBA Action, a weekly one-hour highlight show, spotlights the important moments from the WNBA throughout the week and presents an up-close look at the League’s important news stories.
