As Director, Business Operations for the WNBA, Tatia Mays-Russell leads the WNBA's league and team financial and operational processes, ensures financial compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement and oversees administrative functions.
Mays-Russell came to the NBA in 1998 as Director, Financial Planning & Analysis. She was responsible for supporting the NBA's financial reporting, business planning and budgeting processes, as well as providing financial planning and analysis support to the WNBA.
Prior to joining the NBA, Mays-Russell worked as a Financial Analyst at Pfizer, a pharmaceutical company. While there, she focused on evaluating the company's financial and operational performance, as well as analyzing the impact of acquisitions/dispositions on operations.
Mays-Russell also has experience working as a Senior Consultant for The Deloitte & Touche Management Consulting Group, a general management consulting firm.
Mays-Russell graduated from Cornell University in 1988 with a B.S. in Materials Science Engineering, and received an M.B.A. from The Wharton School in 1993.
