Connie Hurlbut, Director of Basketball Operations for the WNBA, oversees the WNBA's scheduling, officiating, game conduct, playing rules, and disciplinary and medical policies, as well as various basketball-related events and programs. She also manages the league's relationships with WNBA team basketball personnel and outside basketball organizations.

Before joining the WNBA, Hurlbut was most recently the Executive Director of the Patriot League for the past six years. In 1993, Hurlbut became the first woman hired as director of a Division I athletics conference, and was instrumental in establishing the Patriot League's first basketball officiating bureau.

Since 1995, Hurlbut has been a member of the NCAA Division I Management Council. She also served on the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Committee during the 1996-97 season.

A 1983 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Hurlbut served as the Eastern College Athletic Conference's (ECAC) Assistant Commissioner for two years. She also worked in various capacities -- including Associate Executive Director -- during a seven-year tenure at the Ivy League conference office.
