Be Fit Tour
The traveling mobile fitness expo, a leading component
of the WNBA’s national Be Smart-Be Fit-Be Yourself initiative, is the League’s
premiere interactive touring program. Through interactive events and positive
messaging, the WNBA Be Fit Tour promotes fitness, health and self-confidence among
girls and women, and features exercise classes, healthy cooking demonstrations
and free basketball activities. As a proud partner of the WNBA Be Fit Tour, Ocean
Spray Craisins will conduct product sampling and offer health and fitness lifestyle
messaging within a branded tent area. WNBA players will be onsite to meet and
greet fans throughout the day. This event is open to the media and public.

Monday, July 10
WNBA Cares Learn and Play Center Dedication
The
WNBA will unveil a brand new WNBA Cares “Learn and Play” Center at the “Life Shelter”
facility. The renovation project includes extensive refurbishment of the facility
and the donation of books, furniture, TV's, DVD players, computers and additional
reading materials. This project is sponsored by WNBA Cares and Toyota. The shelter
houses homeless families from the NYC area including hundreds of children ages
5-13. WNBA All-Stars, basketball legends, executives and local personalities will
be on-hand to unveil the new center that will bring a lasting hope to hundreds
of children in the local area.

Tuesday, July 11
WNBA Dribble, Dish & Swish Skills Challenge
and Three Point Shoot Out
The WNBA Dribble, Dish & Swish Skills
Challenge and Three Point Shoot Out are exciting, fast-paced basketball competitions
which will include select WNBA players. The WNBA Dribble, Dish & Swish Skills
Challenge is a fast-paced event featuring four players competing in a two-round
timed “obstacle course,” consisting of dribbling, passing and shooting stations.
The two players with the fastest times from the first round advance to a final
head to head competition to determine the champion.
This will be the debut year for the WNBA Three-Point Shootout. Players will compete in the two-round competition with the top three finishers from the first round advancing to the finals. Five shooting stations are set up around the three-point line, with four WNBA balls each worth one point and one "money ball" worth two points at each location. The event will air live on NBA TV and participants will be announced at a later date. These events are open to the public free of charge.

WNBA fans, including thousands of young people from
community groups throughout the New York area, will watch their favorite WNBA
stars practice for the 2006 WNBA All-Star Game.

2006 WNBA Summer Jam
The
WNBA will take over 33rd Street in New York City for the 2006 WNBA All-Star Summer
Jam on Wednesday, July 12, in conjunction with the 2006 WNBA All-Star Game. The
WNBA’s premier fan event will feature FREE interactive basketball games, shooting
contests, as well as WNBA player autographs sessions. All-Star Summer Jam will
also give fans the opportunity to meet some of their favorite WNBA players and
coaches.
The WNBA Be Fit Tour will also visit Summer Jam. The tour features exercise classes, interactive basketball games, trivia contests and appearances by top WNBA players. Summer Jam is open to the public free of charge.

Salute: Celebrating Inspiration Lunch
The WNBA will host a special
event for inspirational women in sports, business, marketing, entertainment and
television who have led the way for women in their own fields. The WNBA will also
be presenting the inaugural WNBA Inspiration Award to an individual who is a role
model to all who aspire to make a difference at work, at home and in the communities
in which they live. Former United States Secretary of State, Dr. Madeleine Albright
will serve as the Keynote Speaker.
