This week, the road for Detroit Shock forward Cheryl Ford takes more of a relaxing turn as she will be back in New York City for her third All-Star Game in her fourth season. Yet with all the travel that Ford must do in a short period of time during the WNBA season (teams do play 17 road games in less than three months, and that does not include the postseason), she has not gotten to travel as much for personal pleasure. Yet, if she keeps up her torrid scoring and rebounding pace this season, we might see her do some more traveling after the season... to the World Championships in Brazil as a part of the U.S. National Team.

Q. What are some of your favorite countries you've gotten to travel to?
"We took a family trip to Hawaii and it was gorgeous out there. I loved it. I've been outside the country and I really didn't like it at all. Russia? Eww. Cuba was okay. I'm not a big overseas person."

Q. What is one place you haven't been that you would like to see?
"I want to go to Jamaica. I've always wanted to go. I'll get there one day."

Q. So if you had a choice, would you prefer to be nn a beach, hiking and camping out or visiting a museum?
"Beach, oh yeah. I'm going to lay out there with my big umbrella and enjoy the view."

Q. So what are your favorite WNBA cities to visit?
"I like Washington D.C. It's pretty. I was there and out with one of my friends and I realized that its such a gorgeous city. "

Q. What is the best WNBA city to go out shopping? Do you have any favorite stores?
"New York is obviously great, but Chicago is not bad. The Magnificent Mile is great, but they have everything there that you could possibly want."

Q. What are the best places to shop and dine out in Detroit?
"I am a tall girl, and in Detroit, they have a tall girl shop which I am happy about and spend a lot of my money at. It's called Tall Girls. I'm also into the Louis Vuitton, the Gucci and Prada. I'm into all that stuff. A lot of people think I buy that stuff, but I let my friends buy it instead."
