As the WNBA celebrates the fifth anniversary of the WNBA All-Star Game (Saturday, July 12, 4 ET, ABC), WNBA.com will celebrate the five women who have played in all four WNBA All-Star Games.

In our fourth installment, we look at Monarchs guard Ticha Penicheiro. The Sacramento point guard has started three All-Star Games (2000, 2001 and 2002) and been a reserve for the first game in New York. See what Penicheiro had to say about her experiences in the WNBA's midsummer classic.

WNBA All-Star 1999: New York City
Will you get the opportunity to showcase your skills tomorrow night?
"Everybody knows that I love to pass the ball, especially in an All-Star Game. I love to be fancy and I think that's what All-Star is all about. When I go in the game, I'm not going to be concerned with doing good, I'm just going to let it all out and play my game. The crowd is paying to see us, so I'm going to give them something special."

How does it feel to be an All-Star?
"It's hard to put it into words. When I found out -- I got a phone call -- and they told me I was going to New York, I was so excited. I just wanted to get on the phone and call my friends and my family back home. I know they're proud of me for what I've achieved, but to be an All-Star in the first All-Star Game, it's quite an honor."

WNBA All-Star 2000: Phoenix
Anything different this year?
"Well, I'm starting now, so it's a little different than last year. It's just a great honor to be here to play with and against all of the best players in the world. I just want to get out there and do my best, represent Sacramento, Portugal, women's basketball … and just have fun."

Do you allow yourself to take even more liberty with your passing in a game like this?
"These are the games that you can put the extra mustard on the hot dog. When I play for my team, I can't always do that because the score doesn't allow for it. But I think I did a little bit too much tonight. I had too many turnovers, but I had fun doing it, so that's what counts."

Ticha's stats: 3 points, 2 rebounds, 4 assists in 25 minutes

WNBA All-Star 2001: Orlando
What are you looking forward to the most about this All-Star Weekend?
"Having fun. Of course we want to win. The West wants to win because we're 2-0 and the East wants to prove themselves, but we just want to have fun. This is two days of just going out there and enjoying each other off the court."

How did it feel out there?
"I missed the first nine games of the season due to injury … and to still be voted in this game is a big accomplishment. I want to take this opportunity to thank the fans for voting for me."

Ticha's stats: 1 point, 5 assists, 3 rebounds in 21 minutes

WNBA All-Star 2002: Washington
Do you feel pressure to continue the West's winning streak?
"I think the pressure is on the East because those guys haven't won yet. We are just trying to have fun, and I know we are always saying that, but when it's time to play, we go hard and we take it at each other. But we are really just trying to have fun and put on a show for the people that will be here to watch us play."

Does this ever get old?
"No, never. This is a great event for women's basketball, for the WNBA, and it's just an honor to be here. So, we can never take things for granted because you never know what will happen next year, if you will be here or not. So, I take this as an honor. I appreciate the people who voted for me and I'll make sure that I'll let people know that I love it and I wouldn't trade it for two days off."
