NEW YORK July 7, 2003 - Hip-Hop legend and New York native MC Lyte who released “Underground Heat Vol.1” in May, will help the WNBA take over New York City as she performs at two WNBA events during the weekend. MC Lyte will perform in midtown at the WNBA All-Star 35th Street Jam at Macy’s Herald Square on July 12 and downtown at the South Street Seaport during NBA Rhythm ‘n Rims presented by Rbk & Sprite on July 13. Both events are free and open to the public.

The 2003 WNBA All-Star 35th Street Jam at Macy’s Herald Square Street Jam will feature free interactive basketball games, shooting contests, musical and dance performances, WNBA player autographs sessions, a WNBA Sponsor Bazaar sampling area and takes place Saturday, July 12 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m on 35th Street between 7th Avenue and Broadway (event entrance located at 7th Ave./35th St.).
NBA Rhythm ‘n Rims presented by Rbk & Sprite is a musical and interactive basketball experience for all ages with non-stop basketball action and takes place at the South Street Seaport on Pier 17 Saturday July 12 from Noon-9 p.m. and Sunday July 13 Noon-4 p.m.
