ULTIMATE INTERACTIVE EXPERIENCE IS FREE AND FUN FOR FANS OF ALL AGES 2001 All-Star Game Festivities to Include WNBA All-Star Summer Jam
Held in conjunction with the 2001 WNBA All-Star Game, WNBA All-Star Summer Jam will contain more than 50,000 square feet of basketball activities, clinics, live music and performances that will appeal to fans of all ages. WNBA All-Star Summer Jam will give fans the opportunity to meet the top women basketball players in the world and their coaches as they come to enjoy the event. Interactive basketball activities include: Kids Zone (an area for tiny hoopsters), Obstacle Course, Slam Dunk Courts, Sling-Shot Jam, Shootaround Court, Three-Point Challenge, Bungee Run and Bank Shot.
Also featured at Summer Jam, Yahoo! Sports NBA Rhythm n' Rims which will showcase live local musical acts as well as an Autograph Stage where fans can meet and greet their favorite WNBA stars. Summer Jam will be free and open to the public Sunday, July 15 and Monday July 16 from 12-7:30 p.m. Magicians, face painters, ball handlers and jugglers will entertain fans inside the WNBA All-Star Summer Jam as they stroll around the activities. The 2001 WNBA All-Star Game, on Monday, July 16, will be televised live from TD Waterhouse Centre on ESPN beginning at 8 p.m. EST.
