Senior Director, WNBA Communications
Sharon Robustelli

As Senior Director, WNBA Communications, Sharon Robustelli is responsible for all sports, marketing, corporate and non-sports communications strategies and programs at large for the league. She was named to the position in April 2004.

Prior to joining the WNBA, Robustelli spent five years as Vice President at Marina Maher Communications (MMC), a New York City based public relations agency which specializes in marketing to women. While at MMC Robustelli developed and led consumer programs for companies including Procter and Gamble, Johnson and Johnson and BBC Worldwide.

Previously, she held supervisory roles at GCI Group, Inc. and Ruder-Finn where she managed communications plans for clients including the New York State Lottery, JP Morgan Chase Inc. and Aetna.

In addition to her consumer marketing work, Robustelli spent seven years in entertainment public relations and counts such high-profile personalities and events as Mick Fleetwood, Eartha Kitt, The Grammy Awards and the MTV Music Video Awards among her former clients.

Robustelli is an accomplished writer who has written speeches for prominent public figures including Vice President Al Gore and is also a published poet and poetry “slam” champion.

Robustelli graduated with a B.A. in Communications from Mansfield University of Pennsylvania.
